At the start of every topic the children complete an elicitation task to use as an assessment on how much the children know about the topic. Throughout the topic, children compile their own list of KIRFs (Key Instant Recall Facts) which will aid their knowledge and understanding. The ‘Showstopper’ is then the culmination of all of the teaching and learning in the topic.
