This year our maths and science iPupils have worked with Mrs Sales as part of a Primary Engineers project. They have met a real engineer and done various workshops to learn more about the skills required. They all entered a national competition ‘If you were an engineer what would you do?’ where they designed an item to fix a problem. They came up with the most imaginative and clever ideas. All children passed with lots of children achieving merits, a few children achieving a distinction and 3 children were shortlisted as winners. One child, Grace in Year 6 was a winner. I loved working with the children on this project and I am so proud of them. I hope that this has inspired them to consider being an engineer one day.
