The pupil premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. It is allocated to children from low-income families who are currently known to be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), Looked after Children, children adopted from care and Service Forces children. It also includes pupils who have been eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years (known as the Ever 6 FSM measure) and pupils who have a parent who has served in the forces in the last six years.
More information can be found here
If you think your child may eligible to receive this additional funding and support but are not sure whether the school are aware of this, please speak in confidence to Mrs Sales (csales@carbeile.cornwall.sch.uk or 01752 812474. Alternatively, please complete the appropriate form below and return to the school office – we will then check eligibility and ensure that the school receives all funding due to support your child.

At Carbeile we are committed to raising the achievement for pupils who are eligible for Pupil Premium and understand that many of these pupils must make accelerated progress compared to non-eligible pupils to achieve this. We, as a school, are able to determine how best to use the Pupil Premium grant to support pupils and raise education attainment; we create an overall package of support aimed to tackle a range of barriers as specified in the PP strategy report and financial breakdown report. See below for our Pupil Premium Policy and our Strategy Report which outlines our priorities for the year.
