On Wednesday, we set sail and launched our new topic ‘Poles Apart’! We had an amazing explorer themed day where we learnt how to build fires and whittle (safely!), constructed our own shelters and learnt more about Shackleton’s incredible journey to Antarctica. A guest speaker from the Navy, Mr Birch, came in to talk about Shakleton’s Journey and his own adventures around Antarctica. We even had our own snowstorm in school – that was just for fun really!
